Before Wednesday, write a letter to me (in business format) which includes the following:
- In the first paragraph, explain what you have learned during this first semester of Digital Design class. Be specific. The paragraph needs to include at least four complete sentences with correct computer, graphic, and web terminology.
- In the second paragraph, explain what you would like to learn and focus on next semester. Be specific. Again, the paragraph needs to include at least four complete sentences with correct computer, graphic, and web terminology.
- In the third paragraph, explain if and/or how what you have learned in this Digital Design class as well as the Career Center may help you in the future. If you do not feel any of what you have learned will help you in the future, make suggestions of what you feel needs to be changed to benefit future students or you next semester.
Your letter needs to include a letterhead you design with your contact information (first and last name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, email address, and possibly website address and QR code). Since your personal information should not be made public, you will not post the letter on your blog or website but will print it and put it in the tray on the table. You may design your letterhead in Photoshop and then write your letter in MS Word. I can help you print your letter on your letterhead. If you need help with the formatting, please ask me. An example is available here but you will have a letterhead that includes your information instead of typing your return address information on several lines.
You may check your attendance and grades by using your online grades website which is accessible at http://www.nwtech.edu/tfrascht/grades/yourloginname/ if you substitute your real login name for the “yourloginname” part of the address just provided.
If you have five or fewer absences (every 3 leave earlies and or tardies count as one absence), you do not have to come to class on Thursday and Friday, complete a leave form for those days. In the reason area enter “exempt from semester tests”. If you have more than 5 absences then you are required to attend Thursday and possibly Friday. AHS student will attend at the scheduled times below. If you have questions about whether you are to attend, please ask today!
The AHS semester test schedule for Thursday and Friday is:
1st hr – 8:30 – 9:50 am
3rd hr – 10:00 – 11:20 am
Lunch – 11:20 am – 12:00 pm
5th hr – 12:05 – 1:25 pm ** May change to 12:30 – 1:50 pm for just my class.**
7th and 8th hr – 1:30 – 2:55 pm
2nd hr – 8:30 – 9:50 am
4th hr – 10:00 – 11:20 am
Lunch – 11:20 am – 12:40 pm
6th hr – 12:40 – 2:00 pm
If you don’t have anything to work on, you may want to check out the “Create your own brushes in Photoshop” by Creative Blog and create your own Christmas tree.
