Before Wednesday, write a letter to me (in business format) which includes the following:

  • In the first paragraph, explain what you have learned during this first semester of Digital Design class. Be specific.  The paragraph needs to include at least four complete sentences with correct computer, graphic, and web terminology.
  • In the second paragraph, explain what you would like to learn and focus on next semester.  Be specific.  Again, the paragraph needs to include at least four complete sentences with correct computer, graphic, and web terminology.
  • In the third paragraph, explain if and/or how what you have learned in this Digital Design class as well as the Career Center may help you in the future.  If you do not feel any of what you have learned will help you in the future, make suggestions of what you feel needs to be changed to benefit future students or you next semester.

Your letter needs to include a letterhead you design with your contact information (first and last name, address, city, state, zip, phone number, email address, and possibly website address and QR code).  Since your personal information should not be made public, you will not post the letter on your blog or website but will print it and put it in the tray on the table.  You may design your letterhead in Photoshop and then write your letter in MS Word.  I can help you print your letter on your letterhead.  If you need help with the formatting, please ask me.  An example is available here but you will have a letterhead that includes your information instead of typing your return address information on several lines.

You may check your attendance and grades by using your online grades website which is accessible at  if you substitute your real login name for the “yourloginname” part of the address just provided.

Please check with Mrs. McClure to see what day and/or time would be best for you to work with her.

Email me your detailed goals for the week.

If you did not receive the full 10 points for work habits on a given day, some of the reasons may include: being tardy, texting, quitting too early, surfing the web, taking a long time to get started.  If you did not receive the full 10 points for the blog entry on a given day, some reasons may include: tools or techniques used or not given, entry is only one or two sentences in length, before and/or after images or screen shots not provided, entry posted late or not at all.

I will be busy with a conference call starting a little before 9 am this morning.  I do not know how long the call will last.  Please be quiet during this time (like you usually are).

And.. congratulations to the Cherokee Chiefs on their state championship win in football and to the Goldbugs and Ladybugs on their basketball tournament wins.
