Be sure to email me your detailed goals for the week.  If you are still working on the Up and Running with Photoshop for Design course, you need to complete that course this week.  Some of you need to “pick up the pace” and will not be allowed to work on projects or your own designs until you have completed more assignments.  If you have completed that course you will need to select a new course.  Please visit with me to determine an appropriate course to start on.  Many of you are doing awesome! Keep it up!  You will attend the Career Center again this Wednesday.

If you are a returning student or a first year student with a lot of Photoshop and/or Illustrator experience, you may work on a pin design for the State BPA pin design contest if you wish.  Those designs are due to me on Friday.  The specifics are below:

The Oklahoma Business Professionals of America has announced a pin design contest. Each year at the National Leadership Conference, each state has a pin for members of their association to trade with other members of other state associations. It is an excellent way to network within the organizations. So, the Oklahoma Executive Council needs the help of all the creative members to design the pin for trading at NLC in 2014.  The Pin Design Contest information is available for download by clicking here – FLC Pin Design 2013.  One thing that the Oklahoma BPA office would like to encourage is, to try and avoid the use of dates and years as a main subject in the design. Only use dates if it enhances the overall design, and if there is a year placed on the pin, be sure it is 2013-2014, or only 2014.  If you are interested in creating a pin design, please visit with me. The deadline for submission to me is Friday, September 13.  If more than two people submit pin designs, I will have a committee select the two winning designs.
