If you did not get to present your 3 truths and a lie due to internet being down, please remind me today at the beginning of class!

I need everyone to take at least one of the following Brainbench exams this week (except returning students who already passed the tests):

  • Computer Fundamentals (Mac OS X 10.4)
  • Computer Fundamentals (Win 7)
  • Computer Literacy (Win 7)

The link to the testing site is provided under my Classroom Resources page that is available under the Links menu at the top of my blog.  The Brainbench link is the last resource on that page.  The information you need to log in is provided at the bottom of the second page of information in your Professional Development Planner.  I made a mistake though on the password I provided you.  The password needs an s on the end of it.  If you need help logging in, please ask me.  Be sure to print two copies of your results.  Write your name on one copy and place it face down in the tray.  The second copy you will put in your Professional Development Planner behind the certifications tab.

Everyone has done a great job customizing your blogs! Couple of requests though… #1 Be sure to use complete sentences in your blog posts with proper capitalization and spelling.  #2 Please create categories for your blog posts.  What are categories? Check out this article – http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/. Some examples of categories you might use as this point are: Photoshop, InDesign, HTML, CSS, Assignments, Projects, Drawings, etc.  Please ask me for help creating categories and then going back and assigning categories to your previous blog posts.

In addition to your blogs, I will have you post your work to a website. If you have completed Chapter 2 lessons on Photoshop from Lynda.com or html Lesson 1 from the book or InDesign chapter 1 from the book, and I have not shown you how to do that using Dreamweaver, please ask me for help.

Please be sure to check your email each day.

Also… did you know you can make comments on other students’ blog posts? Be sure to keep them positive though!!

Good luck to Macy and her CHS softball team today!

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. ~ Steve Jobs
