A Veteran’s Day Assembly will be held at AHS today at 1 pm for all AHS students.
Email me your goals for the week. If you are not sure what to work on, please ask me.
First year students need to create a business card for your company. Be sure to include your logo as well as items such as the name of the company, address, phone, url of website, email address. I will try to post examples of unique business cards. There are also examples of business cards in Chapter 7 of the “Robin Williams Design Workshop Second Edition” text on the table as well as Chapter 8 of “The Non-Designer’s Design & Type Books Deluxe Edition” text on the table. Most business cards are approximately 3.5″ x 2″ but they do not have to be. Be creative!! You want people to remember you and your business (in a positive light). First year students also need to create coupon flyer which may be any size but no more than 8.5″ x 11″. The purpose of the coupon flyer is to have at least one coupon but no more than four which may be redeemed at your business. Be sure to include details such as the expiration date on each of the coupons! First year students need to create a menu for your restaurant or food business. Next week you will be creating a placemat for kids to keep them occupied while waiting on their order as well as a punch card for a special discount of some kind and a promotional or staff tshirt.
Check out the following links for examples and information for business cards and menus:
Blogs and websites of last year’s students are still available if you would like to look at them for inspiration and examples. A link is available on the menu at the top of this blog.
