I will be gone today to a meeting.  Mrs. Jordan will be my substitute.

An ACT Preparation Workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 17, from 9 am – 12 pm and on Wednesday, December 5, from 9 am – 12 pm in the Seminar Room on our campus.  Chad Cargill is the presenter.  The purpose of the workshop is to increase motivation to do well on the ACT tests, to increase familiarity with general test taking strategies, and to increase familiarity with the content and the types of questions included in the ACT tests.  Students may apply for a scholarship if the following qualifications are met:  current daytime student, exemplifies positive work characteristics, demonstrates above average attendance, and shows a desire to further educational options.  If you are interested in applying for a scholarship for the ACT Preparation Workshop, please ask Mrs. Koehn for an application or get an application from me.  Applications must be returned to Mrs. Koehn by this Friday, September 28th!

If you haven’t subscribed to the Blog.spoon graphics email updates or RSS feed, you may want to do so.  They have lots of valuable information that is always being updated.  One of latest blog posts covers the best techniques to use in turning a color image into a black and white image using Photoshop – http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/articles/the-best-ways-to-make-your-photos-black-white.  If you want to give this a try, be sure to post the “before” and “after” images on your blog and website projects page!

On Wednesday Mrs. Barton will have hot dogs available for lunch at the end of the morning session and at the beginning of the afternoon session!
