Attention Alva High Students…..starting Monday, September 10, at the request of Mr. Slater, our assistant superintendent, I will be reporting tardies to Alva High School.  It is my understanding a tardy will interfere with your extra lunch time or flex time.  I will be using the time posted by the time clock on your time card.  So… if you don’t want to lose the extra lunch time… be on time 🙂

Be sure to check the comments section of your blog since I have posted a few comments on some of the blogs.

Just a reminder… you should include the following three things in your blogs each day:

  1. Describe what you worked on or completed.  Include the name of the course, name of chapter, and name of lesson or description of project.
  2. Describe what new concepts, techniques, or skills you learned or what existing skills or concepts you used or enhanced as well as what tools you used and why.
  3. Include a link to your work that is posted on your website and/or a graphic of your work.

If you are not sure how to do this… please ask.  If you didn’t include all three things in each blog entry this week, please update the blog entries based on the above criteria. The only day you won’t have a blog entry that includes all three is maybe Wednesday since you attended the Career Center during part of the time.

Have you used Photo Booth yet? Well, today’s the day!  Post a photo of yourself (with or without a classmate) on your blog entry for today.  Here’s my alien photo ….

Be sure to complete the Student Leave Request form any time you will be absent, tardy, or leave early.  It is a form available from the menus at the top of this blog.  You can complete the request several weeks in advance even if you know you will be gone.

Today is the last day to submit your paperwork for the Superintendent’s Leadership Class.  It is a great opportunity if you are interested!

I came across an article entitled “12 Things Students Should Never Do on Social Media” –  Have you done any of these?

Good luck to the Goldbugs tonight!
